I have this fear of heights seriously...funny thing is that i do not have the fear for flying..lucky me as most of my trips back home are over the sea and the only mode of transportation back home would be the flying machine with two wings, either a red or blue/green colored machine...

Im trying to beat off my fear of heights like that day when i went to ICT in Shah Alam..going on the Ferris Wheel... not a good idea tho...but took the step riding up the huge wheel...and it was not a pleasing ride for me..maybe next time....

Last Christmas

I celebrated Christmas in Seremban this year as i did not book a flight home. So i went around Seremban and the wet market for Christmas eve marketing. The best part of the market are shown below

YES, Crystal clear written on the board...wild boar meat for sale OPENLY in Seremban wet market..if this was to be in Sarawak....hello Forestry and Wildlife Control department...

It was selling cheap.. imagine 1KG of this wild boar meat = RM 8..cheaper than the domesticated pork meat or the pink pigs sold in the market that would cost you around RM 15-17 per kilo..if it is in Sarawak RM25-RM27 per kilo....wild boar is found abundantly in most of the palm oil plantation and it survived by eating palm oil seeds. The problem with this wild boar meat sold here in the peninsular, it is not as fat and juicy like its relatives in the Borneo island. So a few ways of cooking it..basically dry curry or "masak lemak" (not sure how but cook with coconut milk? )...now that was my first time trying on wild boar curry...

For Christmas nothing special from the kitchen...i did 4 dishes plus other dishes done by the rest of the people in the house...

First i did was meat roll?I am not sure what to name the dish tho...

Last posting was 16 October 2011...is been almost 2 months since i last blog....

Basically and currently working with the centre where im am currently doing my masters right now. Since i need cash and there is a scheme for me to to work "part time" with the centre while doing my masters. It is on a per semester service and once im done with this semester i need to reapply back for the new semester. The work requires me to work 6 hours per week, 24 hours per month with minimal allowance that i could survived with besides my loan.

What am i supposed to do is be part of the editorial team, editing and transcript most of the thesis done by the student into journals where it would be published for academic purposes. A lot of hard work and patience especially dealing with students who are not so keen on contributing towards the journal compilation process. It is more of an open invitation and for almost two months the response is slow and poor..hopefully for the month of December it would be better...

My own punch card where i need to punch for each time i came to the centre for work..basically we are paid by hours so in order to get a full allowance we need at least 24 hours on the card...

Since i started working..learning to save a bit..and the notice is just a reminder of what happened last semester when my whole savings was stolen from my rented house in Shah Alam...i know it would not deter those who wish to take but at least remind them that there is always SOMEONE watching from above...

The new 5th member of Westlife...

Last Friday, WESTLIFE LIVE in Malaysia..it was awesome :) growing up and listening to them during my primary and secondary school years has been part of me. You can say that for a guy to support a boy band group is gay...but to me is the songs that i heard and that is where I learned my English vocabulary and pronunciation. Trust me it works :)

The line was long and it was a bit drizzling. I bet that those who came to the concert grew up at the same year or generation as I was..the year of the 90's. There was even parents and older adults coming to the concert..meaning WESTLIFE is still relevant and has its own attraction of all ages :)

That was before and during the concert of the stage where they were performing. It was total awesome and they look and sound EXACTLY the same even after 10 years since the first time I heard them in my primary school years. Even better than those CDs i had at home :)

Is been a long time since i last blog...A LOT of ups and down...BIG decisions BIG plans..hoping for the best to come in life....is already my second semester doing my master in UiTM..planning ahead for the coming semester..at least im not that bored as i would be doing part time with the faculty...earning a bit of cash and supporting myself right in Shah Alam.

I know this would be a bit of a boring entry but of course i would dedicate this post to my close geng lepak malam2 buta while we were doing our degree back in the old days of 2007-2010. To be honest my classmates are 98% girls and so i have girl friends to hang out with. Got this picture last night and how i miss them and hanging out with them like the good old days..

Kitchen

One of the places the places i always have a place in my heart would be the kitchen. One of the kitchens that i always look forward serving and plying my trade would be the St Lucas Center in 10th Mile, Kota Pedawan. I would be doing the planning and task force especially whose doing what in the kitchen to ensure everything runs smoothly.

The kitchen is big to move and plenty of space to work with thus making cooking easier in the kitchen. As you can see with the two pictures above, the space and equipment works well for me. Yes, you may say its not fine dining kitchen and all that, but for a normal camp cooking style, it works well for me.

One of my signature dish especially those helping me in the kitchen...chicken skill and butt...with curry and frying powder...deep fried...

And one of the must have dishes around for camp, normal and simple...chicken curry

That is why i love serving and contributing my skills in the kitchen...no one else who love to do it tho...

Being cleaning my phone memory card and found a few pictures i took not so long time ago....maybe recently...

This was taken in PJ when i had dinner with a family on holiday from Kuching.....King Crab Mee Cantonese style with red wine...

The famous Bishop Gate kolo mee where it is one of the best place to have the all time favorite kolo mee when you are in Kuching...what makes it special is that the mee comes with a topping of all kinds of assorted parts of the pork....and to have a bowl....you need patience and the will to wait as you wait for your turn to be served as tables are limited...

Teh Tarik Dangdut section 7...im not sure why is it dangdut...

All time favorite Sunny Hill ice-cream...hands down even to McD.....

New found love..wantan mix sup.....and this is the best as it serves a HUGE portion of wantan...normally you can count your wantan in the bowl (10 pieces ) THE MOST......this shop....more than 10 pieces of wantan and it was heaven....10th mile i love you...:)

Holiday? What a long holiday before September...i have nothing to worry for holiday are going by as fast as it could...

For now, sending and fetching my cousin, fetching mum dad from home and doing part time job from home...a bit of reading, playing computer games and even watching TV...plus a bit of sports playing badminton every evening....

Luckily would be off for a camp next week, something i miss doing it for a long time especially my line is in the kitchen itself...planning what should i be cooking and buying for the camp...

Is been a while since i last posted my last entry...today would be something random and i had been through it for the last 24 years..

Currently in Miri for holidays...why Miri? is a long story...and i love it here....i found peace and love in Miri.

To be honest, i dont really like to celebrate my own birthday...and yet i dont mind celebrating people's birthday and be part of the party. To me personally, my birthday is just another ordinary day in my life. I do not mind having no birthday cake or presents, call me weird but im fine with it.Would not want to trouble people around me, making fuss and all that for me and my birthday. There is one time i told my mum that there is no need to have a birthday cake as im not a kid anymore, besides i have something else in life that marks my important day special. What is important is that God has given me abundant blessings in my everyday life making it possible for me to be at this age. Nor forgetting what God had done for me especially in my studies, family and friends. That is the best gift of all.

The quiet hero

My dad is a man that does not speak much and hes quiet in doing things as a daddy and a husband. He is the type that you could see in a typical everyday man in life. He is the hardworking type and earns for the family and speaks only when is needed and when he does...is all about respect and wondering how a quiet man like him speaks out the very best for others to listen and be fascinated by him...hes like this storyteller that has thousands of unknown stories even to be known by mum who is his soul mate @ his partner in crime of their everyday life.....

Regardless of how and who my dad is, hes always be the best dad for me...he may not be some big shot in life, he may not be some rich dude driving around big cars and lives in a big house...he is a man of principal and honor and takes his responsibilities as a dad to the fullest and pride..nothing more i can ask from my dad...hes just wonderful and great for me in my everyday life especially in my studies right now

Okay..is been a while since i last updated my blog...i was just having a lot of fun and of course i was practically busy with my convocation and Gawai is around the corner..back to my hometown and of course...a long 4 months holiday...meaning trying to get a decent part time job just to fill in my free time...

Finally i graduated officially for my degree in UiTM after 3 long years on the 18th of May 2011 on a Wednesday afternoon, the 8th session of the 74th UiTM Convocation. I was first up for my course ( relatively speaking my name in alphabetical order, A should be first)..it was one of the best moment when finally it was your turn after waiting for 792 graduates in front of me receiving their scrolls and then 793 ( my number )...it was like a dream once they had called out my name " ADRIAN CLARKE AK LIHIEN " and there i was receiving my scroll from the Pro-Chancellor.

I am done with my exam the final paper and now i am free...i am always free btw..does not make any difference at all but at least there is no worries of studying and doing my notes for a while..is going to be a four months semester break for me :P

Another week to go before i will be graduating..that is next Wednesday on the 18th of May....kinda excited for it as the big day approaches as i had bought something decent for my convo. and my family would be here next week..is been a while they had not been to KL and this would be a fun and exciting event...

First time

Came back for the 10th Sarawak General Election..my first time voting in a democratic state.my first time in 3 years i was back for the study week before my exam, first time in 3 years i will be celebrating the Holy Week at home since i was in KL the whole time for Holy Week....this should be fun :)

Updates? not much....just love being in the comfort of my own house with familiar surroundings and places i had missed going to..going out for good dates with her especially ice cream dates ( thats her favorite ) and of course been reading my notes for exam and last minute final touches on my assignment before sending it over before the finals.

A few more weeks to go before I end my first semester, next month would be my convocation :) cant wait for it..totally excited and looking forward to it..

Missing friends in Kuching and in KL..:) you know you you are...disco skating date, reunion and pre-convo gathering with classmates and "makan besar" with good friends :)

To be honest, for the past few weeks, life has been awesome especially with work, presentation and my social life. Life has been good to me and i could not wait to end my first semester as a Masters student..graduation for my Degree is just around the corner....waiting for it impatiently..:)

Lately, meeting up new people or friends in life is awesome. New friends in life means adding new colors and adventure and stories of a lifetime that definitely you would tell to your grandchildren in years to come. People start to speculate and gossip about you if you are too closed with someone out of the blues. Whats wrong in making new friends with others outside your social group? Especially if it was from the opposite gender? Can two opposite gender be good best friends and not more than that. i believe so.

I have nothing to hide especially in making new friends. Two important things i always put in mind when i make new friends HONESTY and SINCERITY and you will not cross the line for you know your limits..:) if i were to like her, i should had gone for her long time ago why now? why wait when theres opportunity in front of you? for i know i can see them as a good friend to laugh and share stories around.

So what is the problem here? there is no problem at all...people need to have a better view and clearer mind and head to see the whole situation in a bigger scope...do not speculate for it leads to nowhere..

P/S: When you come from different walks of life it should be an interesting friendship...

Classmate's Big Day

Last Saturday i went for my classmate's akad nikah in Shah Alam. One thing for sure it was a fun, exciting and interesting aspect of marriage as it was my very own classmate who was getting married. Shes the youngest in our class among 14 of us and shes the first to get married to another friend of ours....

The ceremony was simple yet sweet and meaningful.... both of them are a sweet couple :)

I Got Fined.....

Now with people scrambling to pay their summons on the very last minute, i too joined in the line just to clear my summon as tomorrow would be the last day before they start blacklisting and knocking on your door for it..my offence? not wearing a seatbelt...last year in the month of January and i think i remembered the incident..:)

Lucky i got the discount/promotion rate of RM40, if not there goes my RM80....it took me the whole night just to access the system to find out if i got any summons...

To be honest that's my first summon in my entire driving career @ the first one in KL

On the other hand i just love my new ATM cards @ BSN and Bank Islam..new look and design..fresh concept..gor it replaced...

The BSN above looks funky and the Bank Islam looks like a credit card to me..

The old and new version of the Bank Islam ATM cards....

Is the right time to changed my cards since i will be using them for a very long time :)

Now i am waiting for my new identity card....

Mind Your Language

I used to watch this typical British sitcom a.k.a Mind Your Language when i was in primary school but during those time i did not understand most of the series as most of it was in the British accent and it was rated PG-18 if i was not mistaken....it was shown in NTV7 or TV1 during those times....and now i am watching it all over again..understanding each of the episode :)

It is all about different foreign students coming for English lesson under an English teacher known as Mr Brown. He tries his best to teach English especially when they are not well verse in English but of course it was not easy task for one man alone. English was being turn upside down by his students every episode and making English language even funnier with crude jokes, miss communication and misunderstood the whole language itself.

Guess thats how important English is..is all about giving our best and not to be afraid to try to speak and be literate in English. Do not worry for those who mock you for being too "English" trying to speak English when you would forget about your mother tongue. Is all about being knowledgeable and able to grasp the language itself for the future. We can see how we Malaysian are lack of language studies especially English where most of the time is the spoken and written language in Malaysia. ( that is base on my personal experience and opinion)

And so lets give English a chance to live with us and especially for the younger generation

Is been a while since my last post..CNY holidays was okay...spend my time reading and doing my assignments during the holiday break.....trying to adjust to my new life as a student again on another level...is been an exciting and one good experience doing my master at this point of life...

So much has been debated whether it is a wise choice to continue my studies directly after my degree...basically the point are divided into pros and cons :

PROS

I am still young...so by the time i get my master ( with God's blessing and guide) i be 24/25...imagine i pursue my PhD ? i be a DR by the age of 30..*blink blink*

Still fresh from my degree level...so is not much of a education gap compared to those who had left their campus life 20 25 years ago....able to compete and absorb information easily? (some say)

Doing it full time meaning i could focus my studies easily...maybe :P (1 1/2 years to go)

CONS

I am a fresh grad with no experience.. most of the students are working adults with experiences...is not advisable to pursue directly....(some say)

If i were to graduate with a master in hand..my basic salary is a normal salary base as i had no working experience...so my master is just by name? not sure about that...

Is hard to get a job? if you are doing your master full time? most companies are not keen ( base on experience)

Level of education is way way different than my degree level...approach is different...

Well..is all about individual preferences..what you think is best for you and your future...to me...doing it now is a slight advantage as i would not want to pursue my studies later when i am working in the future..focus one by one....don't be too greedy :)....

Going to Pakoh - Part 2

Supposed to post this up long time ago..but took my time to post something else up....

I went back to see my grandma for years i have not met, is fun going back to met my grandma for she lives in a long house :) so its a different scene all along for me....

Of course when we were there, she is always in the kitchen or she will be sleeping or taking her beautiful nap ( she does the same thing all the time without fail each time we are back to the long house)

Meet my grandma....never knew she had this typical grandma smile :) she was concern if she was not at her best looks for this photo... conscious minded..LOL

Me and my grandma....shes around 92-93 years old......but does not look that old for her age...she can even walk and does daily chores like a 50-60 year old grandma @ shes a super grandma...

The " ruai " of my grandma's longhouse...i used to run from one end to another when i was small....11 door long house...so imagined playing futsal in the " ruai " area....the floors would have different sounds each time you walk on it.....

This is something new in the long house..a new road leading to the back of the long house...

This is the front part of the long house..mostly used as a place to dry clothings and their harvest...(maybe).....and the toilet is located far away from the " bilik "...so that small hut you see above is the toilet....hygiene purposes thats why is being placed outside the " ruai "...

This suspension bridge is always the fun and scary part and yet without fail i would come and would sit in the middle of the bridge...the scary part is when the bridge is swinging sideways and if it swings too far...you end up below....

In few hours time ( 1 hour 20 minutes to be exact) from this posting, i will be flying back to my second hometown i had called home for the past 3 years of my life. Ever since the offer from UiTM, Kuala Lumpur has been been a hometown to heart...Kuching is a gate away destination for me now, a place to run away from the busy and hectic life of K.L. ..nothing beats the place like Kuching :)

Im not sure when i will be going back to Kuching for good...settle down and have a life in my hometown. For now is the big world, ready to be explored and for me looking for experiences and earning a living in an unknown place.

I am happy with my life for now....should be thankful and grateful....God has been kind enough to be with me through all my campus life in K.L...until today...Amen.

P/S: Christmas is near i be home for Christmas :)

Today, the final semester result is out and i did OKAY :)....is a good move by the university to post all the students result through e-mails. No more hassle and problems logging in to the student portal, refreshing and refreshing for hours just go get your result.

Going to Pakoh - Part 1

During the weekends i went back to my mum's longhouse in Pakoh, Sri Aman. A four hours plus drive through the Trans Borneo highway, so we took the opportunity to stop over in Sri Aman, a two hours drive from Kuching.

On the way to Sri Aman, we stopped in Lachau, a pitstop before heading towards Betong. Saw a few people crowding this small stall selling wild boar meat. It is one of those exotic yet illegal meat to be eaten and found in those areas.

This women was busy with her customers...is a luxurious business selling exotic meat around this part of town...

I was in Sri Aman for a while..

The Batang Lupar river @ famous for the Bujang Senang folklore and legend of the white crocodile

You can even try your hands and skills during the tidal bore where huge waves hits the river like an ocean like motion....during a certain time of the year...imagine surfing a river fully infested by crocs...

There was this shop selling some decorations and clothings of the Ibans..

They were trying out the instruments displayed...for business promotions...

I was attracted by this traditional baby carrier...

Last night i was out with my brother and my aunt to this funfair nearby my house. as you all know funfair are all about games and prizes and you know 90% of the games are meant for you to spend a lot and not getting anything in return ( thats the rule of business for fun fairs)...prizes are attractive but winning it is sure tough luck.

Most of the time i will be looking at this particular game where the crowd and reception is sure to attract a lot of customers. I called this game "Bet a color with canned drinks". Is something like Vegas where you place your bets on a certain numbers and let the roulette spins and land on any numbers. In this case canned drinks are used as chips and colored balls are used to pick the colors.

Firstly is to get your "chips" @ canned drinks to play..RM 1 per tin...

This is how the winning colors are selected. The first ball to reach the bottom is the winner

But before that, pick a color and place your bets...if one tin is placed, you win you get two tins in return (correct me if i am wrong about the game play) you lose the dealer takes it all.

I guess is a popular game among adults young and old.....see how many tins are being placed for bets...

p/s: I prefer throwing or some shooting games..easier...

~ Will be going back to met my grandmother @ the queen in Betong
~ Will be going back to Kuala Lumpur (haizzzzz....) for 3 job interviews (hopefully) and registration for the new semester in UiTM (again)

~ Will celebrate HER brithday ( cant wait for to give HER my surprises )

Some had said " I DO" earlier than me...some even had kids...2 3 4 5 kids....impressively by the age of 19 or 20 years old, they had walked down the aisle, saying " I DO" and signing off their papers and now i declared you husband and wife...and had kids..

Imagined not meeting them up for years, 5 to 10 years and suddenly telling others you are married with kids...I'm 23 and the thought of saying " I DO" lingers in my head....WHEN would THAT time will come for me...is scary seeing others had gone through that road and you are still behind.....

Monday with the Girls...

Last Monday after checking out my office for the last time, headed down out of the ordinary to Wangsa Walk with Mahiran. We planned to met up the Aiman and Pija here. Is my first time coming to this part of Wangsa Maju..wait..been here before...BUT not to Wangsa Walk.

Part of Wangsa Walk..is a nice place tho...a suburban area..

Of course the first place was Ayam Penyet @ Smash chicken @ Mash Chicken..Pija was hungry...

She ordered the Ayam Penyet of course....

She offered me this "Roti Prata" look alike..with mayonnaise and fillings...

After that, we went to the bowling alley to try out our luck...is been a while since we last had our bowling game...a few months ago...

There was a lot of people around..students especially...

I love bowling shoes..i am planning to get one someday...

I won the match..:) thats the best part for i was never good at bowling...trust me...

After the bowling and karaoke session, we had our dinner in William's. Yaya joined us for dinner..the five of us..and so most of the time is about gossiping and exchanging news and stories during practical training...

That's Mahiran, she was with me at the same company during practical training...

Yaya somehow looks different that night :)

Basically if you were to ask me..all of them are my classmates in campus..YES...my classmates are made up from 99% girls and 3 boys...so you the maths..

We took the opportunity to have a go at the taukey's specialty of the day in William's. The best part about William's @ portion @ SIZE DOES MATTER...

and the price tooo :)

Drinks are sized up to feed 3 people....

We took the spaghetti with olive oil and some cream sauce

Clams with some sauce...

Fried prawn rice...the taukey told us is some special rice that would not make you fat but will make you have high cholesterol..he must be kidding at that point of time

Sea bass...this was delicious...

As you can see, the portion is big enough for 5 of us to shared around...a plate is enough for 2-3 people... and so we ended up ordering more than we could imagined....

There goes my Monday well spent...

Now a few more days i be finishing up my semester 6 for my practical training..submission of report and i will bid farewell to my university...bye bye classes, bye bye assignments, bye bye lecturers etc...

Now thats the first step, after all the goodbyes and farewell..next please ?

Working life? am i ready for that....? i still wana be a student tho...fun and enjoyable...

Ahh....my dream goal long time ago....how i miss those times..now i am in a different direction of life..maybe one day i stop by...to collect the unfulfilled dreams..

I guess for now....

Blue Camp

Last Saturday went on an unexpected journey back to Kampung Kuala Pajam, Beranang for a reunion for national service trainees who had undergone training in that camp for national service.Would never though after 5 years i had left the camp, i would be back here again...stirring up old good and unpleasant memories, old flames :)

The main entrance to the camp...certain things don't changed one bit....Kem Millenium Beranang...deep in a village settlement and somehow near to abandon mines...

By 4am we are up from bed...by 6am all are ready at this field for morning exercise for almost 2 hours? in the afternoon, scorching hot afternoon burning the tar field, marching practice and self defense class plus a bit of afternoon workout.......

Obstacle course...the 12ft wall...that was torturing....

Before that stage was made of wood and wooden stilts..shaky, dangerous and at times waiting for us to be on stage...but now fully cement with tiles....me and my friends were like amazed by the stage...one trainee came up to us:

Trainee ~ Excuse me, why are you amazed by the stage?

Us ~ During our time it was made from wood and wooden stilts...shaky dangerous and no one uses the stage during our time

Trainee ~ What batch were you guys in ?

Us ~ Second Group, Second Series, 2005....

The trainee was a batch from 2009...and she looked at us....in disbelief..

Yes....5 years...:)

Every morning we would run along this road...to the file and back..no walking....we run and run...

Part of the camp...

I used to have classes here...every morning...morning class is fun for we could mix around..i remembered telling people how we Sarawakians are headhunters and we hunt heads as a sport and well trained for spells and magic...:P

That was my dormitory....block G....at the end of the blocks..facing some jungle and a big lake..

That was my bunk..that corner bed....before the floor has no tiles..and basically the camp was burning hot especially during the afternoon....so most of the time...during weekends we would be at the bathroom, in the pool, dipping ourselves ( that was against the rule..we are not allowed to dip in the pool )

Those who came that day from my batch....a few made it...and this was with the new commandant of the camp

Friends all around i met...is good to meet up old friends...bringing up stories from the past especially during our time in camp....:)

One Tuesday afternoon

Yesterday was my faculty dean's award so took the opportunity to meet up classmates and friends.Today there was a blackout at the office early in the morning, and so they let us off early..2 days of holidays and im loving it :)

Currently at home just relaxing and enjoying the afternoon..was reading few articles and mag where random thoughts crosses my mind .

Experiences taught me to grow stronger and maturely throughout my life. Experiences taught me to share and help those in need. Experiences taught me that life is not like the Touch and Go toll gate but life is all about being on top and bottom at different times. Experiences taught you think and act rationally and wisely as you would not want to make the same mistakes again.Experiences let you see things in a larger context of life and makes you think with your head and your heart not with you butt.

Experiences taught me how to forgive and try to mend broken hearts, friendship and how i could improved myself with others...i am doing that now...slowly...it takes time and a huge step in me but i am trying my best... but it brings out the best in me..to be more positive in life..is never easy but we have to try for we will never going to know the outcome :)

That random thought was brought to you by one Tuesday afternoon...and i love it :)

After a hard day's work, took up the invitation by Faisal for a steamboat dinner/gathering in Subang with his classmates who are basically LAW students..is October, is a Friday night and the date was 1.10.10...so it was a good night to hang out with different people of different field...

The name of the place is FLAMING STEAMBOAT BUFFET..there was a lot of people when we were there...lower and upper floor...FULL house..got the VIP room for this occasion..RM24 per person all you can eat...

Shared a table with Azrol and Putra..a single pot.....

That how full the table was....all sorts of food...we took mostly seafood..prawns, clams, anything that is cook-able..

Our pot was colourful...add you that we can add in...and trust me...the pot was empty clean thanks to Putra :)

Recently been reading about nationality and race surfacing in the media and a lot of individuals coming forth and giving out their best comments and ideas on how to strengthen the idea and unify all people of different races and culture all around Malaysia.

Looking back of my 23 years of life...i was surrounded with DIFFERENT people all around me...different races and culture and i am guessing i was being blessed being around DIFFERENT people all around me....Malay, Chinese, Indians

Since my schooling days i was with different friends....for sports and other activities..different in sizes and races but 1 under classroom

Serving under the same organisation and working with different people all around...we may be small in numbers but we are united to make a better place

One way of meeting new people for me in my younger days-by going for camps yearly....and surprisingly we could just bond together easily..i remembered the committee members were from different schools and backgrounds....but it was a successful camp...

National Service at one point of the program brings me further in knowing more about people and how people act and accept us from different parts of the country. I had to flew all across the South China Sea just to complete my National Service....and live with them for 3 long months...

I always look back into my own state @ Sarawak...is not about bragging rights and telling other how superior ones state is..but is all about accepting and understanding each and everyone of us...imagine 40 sub ethnic groups all on an island, living in harmony until today....

Even my years in university for almost 3 years, is all about how me myself adapting and understanding to cultures and religion without forgetting my own roots. If you were to look at the picture above, you never guessed that i would be the only Bidayuh in class...:) but it doesn't matter one bit...is all about us how we bring ourself in society

Unity and harmony does not come easy...it comes a long way....is not about how ones culture, religion, race or in any other way is superior to the rest. Everything starts from the basics and from a very young age..is all about US @ YOU @ ME @OURSELVES to accept, understand, acknowledge others in our journey of life...we we just open our mind and hearts to small things that could be the key to unity...

I guess i had done my part being 1 Malaysia :)

6 foot boxes

2 weeks ago went out with my house mate to the National museum...it was my first time there even though i had been in KL for almost 2 years plus...coincidently there was this exhibition on coffins of different cultures and exhibits on those 6 foot boxes. the the opportunity even though my friend was reluctant ( he thinks its creepy and hes not used to it having all sorts of coffin being displayed around)

For me im fine with it...guess my background serving funeral masses in church during my younger days helps me A LOT :)

The exhibition overall was CREEPY ...for the coffin for exhibitions HAD BEING USED BEFORE....so i guess thats why my friend had goosebumps all over him over this exhibition..

To some this may be a tool to catch fish @ bubu in the local context...to others is a coffin...

Some see death being highly regard in society and culture...they put their dead on the trees on special platforms...

Today im at home for it is holiday today...was browsing around old pictures when some of the pictures reminded me of the good old days when i was still young at heart mind and body * still young until now * , when i used to be active in church activities and camps...would go for days for camps in most of the parts of Kuching and the outskirts...

YCS Mid Year Camp 2004 ( Gawai mode at the longhouse )

I was in charged of that camp and i was assigned to the kitchen ministry.Those days were the time i was enjoying my life serving camps and church activities especially with the youth programs..IN THE KITCHEN..most of programs i will be there with my team @ the kitchen ministry who are mostly my close circle of friends from school. We will be in charge from planning, budgeting, buying, and cooking for participants and programs..at the very age of 17-18 we were handed down big responsibilities and i was in charged...God help me through those time..

What makes the kitchen team a memorable good one for me is that it the group members * including myself * are students..secondary school students without any experiences handling the kitchen at a large scale especially for programs. What we know is that God put us all together...different people different unique abilities to form the kitchen group..from chopping to cutting..

My experience with the team ~ PRICELESS ..the ups and downs of the team, drama, tension..from un-cook rice to burning rice, weird recipes, new recipes,cooking for 250 plus participants, marketing and bargaining, working and hanging out at the kitchen from the early hours to dawn till late at night right down to the activities we did in the kitchen..i would always put it close to my heart

This is one of my best peaks of life serving the kitchen team as i was co-in charged serving international south east Asian delegates coming over for a session right back in Kuching for two weeks. I work with one of the best teams ever and we made surprises towards the group coming over.serving delegates 6 meals a day while trying to figured out what to be served for meals, observing strict diets and demands of delegates what and what should not be served, getting up early as 5 am to start the kitchen rumbling and going to sleep around 3 am after a whole day event...with the team

Fasting with a purpose

Is now the month of Ramadhan and the month to fast..and im fasting too *beaming* is been 15 days of Ramadhan and thank God is been a good wonderful fasting month for me. Not missing a day fasting...* i may not be a Muslim but i respect this holy month exactly like the month of Lent *

Reason for fasting? just wana give it a try ...a new enriching experience for me this month and also one way to appreciate things that we have around us. I feel great by fasting * not hoping that would slim me down* but as part of respect to my friends who are Muslims in majority around me now observing the holy month of puasa....saves money too :)

Ramadhan also reminded me of reconciliation... reminiscence of my past :)...how could i ever forget those things...every inch of happiness and sadness... no matter how hard you try to forget it...one day it will come back just to remind you a bit of the past...but that does not stop us from moving forward to the future...using the past as examples of life.

I am happy with what i had so far...family and friends around me..Thank God for those gifts..thank you for the past and the present...and hoping for the best in the future...

Last night i was out for dinner with the rest of the production crew...we went to William's....i thought it was something fancy and expansive, with air-conditioning and well maintained facility @ McD and KFC....to my surprise is just some NORMAL stall by the roadside....could be by the drain?? im not sure...

But THE BEST part is when we had seated down and i look up the board to read the menu....

YES!!! THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE SERVING AND THE PRICE...NO KIDDING....

The price are beyond your wildest imagination for food....RM20-RM25 for could be simple meals, out of the ordinary..

The price justified the whole concept of the shop..LARGE LARGE...i took this...

Soursop juice...(and it tasted REALLY BAD...)

The meals are served and im not sure of the name...

This is " TRIPLE H"..dont ask why cos im not sure myself....

Basically the dishes are served in LARGE plates and LARGE portion..a plate could be shared for 3-4 people at one time...

What i know is that the shop is owned by a Chinese...their workers are from Thailand and majority of their customers are Malays...

For two days i had seen and went through a different perspective of life....there are no words to describe the reality of life hidden among the concrete walls and tall skyscrapers of the fast pace of modern society.....even these pictures are part of what i felt and seen....

Sadness & loneliness....individuals & family..being left out in the cold all alone...

Poverty....

I guess it was the right thing for me to be in a different perspective of life.....

Hello..is been a long time i updated my blog...work @ interns right now just cut my time off with excitement...and adventure..yes..i know adventure in a new environment of work....but for now i would not want to blog about that...not now...wait when the right time comes...

Each time im on the Federal Highway going and coming back from Kuala Lumpur, Batu Tiga has always been a place that remind me of the Batu Tiga in Kuching @ my hometown....

Where?Where? (excitedly)

KL...

Owhh....i miss Kuching :)

Firstly.....BATU TIGA in KL has a train station @ KTM....Batu Tiga in Kuching had a train station before ( British colonial )..we have Jalan Kereta Api :)

KL has the station, train and tracks...Kuching has the road and the place to chill

The one in KL has fewer eatery places..( based on my observation in the morning that time).Batu Tiga Kuching..well known for Siang-Siang corner and Jolly Bee ? ( not sure of the spelling)..plenty of food and drinks for the one in Kuching....

I was in KLCC when i spotted this unique dog bowl in one of the shops...what would you expect? a dog bowl? would not cost you much..based on this picture....it could be around RM50? maybe RM100?

Guess what i found under the dog bowl....

Yup....the price for that simple plastic dog bowl :)

(The picture was not clear enough so do a bit of "editing" to highlight THE REAL price...the name of the store has been censored just in case :) )

Imagine what would this little kitten felt about the dog bowl ?

AD~venture with AD....why that name? AD stands for me @ ADrian..and i love to go on for adventures..EVERYWHERE ANYTIME...anything interesting goes with me....so i love to share my adventures with others...hence AD~venture with AD...with me me me....:) so my blog is about me and my adventures..

I got the name AD when i was in National Service...they had a hard time pronouncing my full name so AD was short and simple....

Dedicated to Mahiran Wahid and Fatin Zach ( internship friends)

Two days....it takes only two days to have this huge impression on what i am going through right now for my practical interns with both of my friends i mentioned above...let the pictures do the talking shall we?

Is supposed to be our internship right now...EVERYONE is looking for a place high and low..EVERYWHERE including me, mahiran and fatin :)

Well is been 18 wonderful years of my life ( 18 plus 5 actually) ..thank God for everything...:) family, friends and all those around me...is been a nice journey of life with the ups and downs..

Not much to blog about this days...will be starting my internship this Monday with my classmate, Mahiran ( at last we got a place and we are starting it)...few minor problems...looking for a new place to rent and from now on NEVER NEVER to look down at the old place i used to rent before as a student. BE THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL....

Thank you for all the birthday wishes from all my family and friends....but this particular wish maybe i was not expecting from but im okay with it :) is nice to have the unexpected to come ( the good ones of course)...just guessing that it may be YOU..but then again it could be from someone else....but my bets and keeping my fingers cross..its YOU..nobody nobody but YOU

Not much to blog around the pass few days...

Basically this was taken before i left Kuching on the 3rd day of Gawai ( internship la....) my so call family picture...5 of us..the small one on my mum's lap is my little cousin..

Im the eldest...the biggest and the least good looking one..hahahaha...the one in front with the sweater is my youngest brother, Aaron...currently waiting to enter this vocational school...hes 18..the one giving the peace sign is my first brother, Alvin, currently working right now...hes 20 right? heheheh~ my brothers have better shape than me..:P

Thats my mum and my dad...my mum looks young my dad is a bit old...retiring soon but he plans to push forward his retirement...my mum has 3 boys in the house...ask her how she managed us..hehehe

P/S: Got a call for my internship placement...i hope to received more good news regarding my internship :)

For ten straight hours..i was in my student portal just to check my result from 12pm until 11.30pm...the connection was bad....could not even log one single bit....imagine that..the announcement stated that the result will be released today by noon..sigh.....

And after 10 hours plus of trying..FINALLY i got my result.....

It says " Sorry..the result of the students is still under process..please try again later...."

10 hours of waiting....that was my result

P/S: Anyways i got my results and thank God for my result..unexpected one...this result is for my mum and dad :)....

Just came back from my Gawai holidays from Kuching...still feeling the heat and excitement of Gawai...and also sweet memories in Kuching....back in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, just because i did not received any news whatsoever from the industry...so i am back leaving my heart in Kuching with her ( oppppssss!!!!! my mum sure knows about this :P)

Not much to post about as i am in the mood to settle about my internship....God help me...:)...please let me have news where i will be doing my intern...

Monkey pot

Been in Kuching for 2 weeks plus now and been going around for rosary prayers in my housing area...so for two days i had seen this typical food..something local something different served on the table..

So basically this is what my mum and her friends introduce to me as "Periuk Kera" or in english is monkey pot/pitcher plant..is not exactly THAT pitcher plan that we all know but this is part of the pitcher plan being used...not mistaken is the leaves...i guess...in Iban is known as "Pok Yuk" Bidayuh is known as "Terambok"

Ingredients are nasi pulut or glutinous rice (IF i am not wrong again) soaked in water then is being stuff in those leaves and being steam until is done....thats the basic of making this food...something close to the Malay culture of ketupat.

P/S: Is food so it should be nice...:)

Back in Kuching

Is my semester break and im back in my hometown, Kuching...well was not really active blogging as i prefer to just relax and enjoy my holidays now....doing nothing as i will be really really busy in a months time @ going for my internship...currently waiting for my internship placing for ages....as if there is no updates from the faculty...

And so i will be blogging something...SOON...perhaps...no worries....just looking for something to do right now....

Praying for my internship will be a done quickly...

Thank you for one of my best memories ever going on a 3 days 2 night holiday trip with my classmates for our final semester.... as quoted by a few:

Hana : 3 perfect days with 11 perfect people :)

Meran : I'm mysterious and so not gud with words but deep inside i luv them.

We may come in different shape, sizes and characters but deep down we can come together and share the laughter, joy, happiness, sadness and tears...all in one...is kinda sad after this we could not do exactly like what we did back in the previous semesters as a whole class..since now everyone is charting their own individual paths to success and future...i wish thee all the best....

Meeting up in the beginning and parting away in the end is part of life...but friendship stays within us....

Deep down we are sad..but we know is not the end of the road for all of us...we will meet again....

P/S: Would not trade in anything for my fun, laughter and adventure going on a holiday with my classmates.....

My last class is DONE!!!!!!..no more assignments..no more going for classes...all i got to do now is sit for my final exam ( 2 papers) and complete my never ending academic writing *sigh*....

5 semester....2 and 1/2 years in uni....it finally comes to this...goodbye student life...hello working life...sure going to miss all my study years thats for sure....:)

So what is next for me? not sure yet....waiting for my internship right now...ASTRO? MEDIA PRIMA? God knows.....

I am sorry for the past mistakes i had done.....what happened in the past does effect my present and future life...it carries with me of all my past wrongdoings.....

That was before..now its different....people changed so do I...if you were to judge me based on past...then there is no point of my present life as it takes a huge step and courage to changed and repent.....

I changed..i am no longer that naive stupid guy in the past...a fool of my past mistakes..i learn and live life to the fullest now....give me a chance to proved myself worthy right now....

Is not easy dwelling and living with the past mistakes but i take is a a life changing experience for me to improved and never to do it again..

Hello to all readers...is been a while since i last blog..due to the fact that there is not much to blog about for the past few weeks....into a lot of things lately...assignments, shooting, hanging out, and many more....just to recap my activities for the past few weeks in pictures :)

Had breakfast at his very "exclusive" cafe in UiTM at the Chancellery...Friday morning is my appointment with my academic advisor for my thesis...

A bit of style and posh...first time dining in such place...grab something from the cafe...

I was also back and busy in the studio...it has been a semester since been busy in the studio..really miss working in the studio...drama..talk show... entertainment...now i am back with my group producing a video clip for a local new artist...Azura Lisa

And of course for this time around went canoeing nearby UiTM..a few of us around..it was an exciting scary feeling as kinda phobia with water...i cant swim but i can sink very well.....:P

Is been a while since i blog...not much to blog about this days....most of the time with assignments and also hanging out with friends for movies or just chilling out...nothing much to consider to blog about.

Well is going to be 5 more weeks left i am going to be in university before leaving for the working world..and that i am kinda blur and have this little fear in me..not sure what to expect and face in the industry...

Deep down i do wish and wish it would never end...but somehow we all start at the very starting point.it has to end somewhere....we cant run in circles for all our life. Of course i wish life would just be studying and studying and yet i do need cash...and so the working world is calling me soon..

And so i keep wishing and wishing....a lot of things i wish for...
